The joining process takes a few simple steps:

1. Adults must create a BSA account and complete the online Youth Protection Training (YPT)
   https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection (must be completed once every 2 years)
    
2.  Complete the Troop Application and pay Troop dues:

3. Complete the BSA Youth Application and pay National/Council Fees

   • At least one parent or guardian should complete an Adult registration

2022 Annual Fees 

• $260/scout, $60/adult, $125/crossover coming from Holt House Pack

   Breakdown of Annual Program Costs. Approximate and subject to changes

  • National Annual Dues for Scouts (prorated based on joining month)
    • $72.00 – National dues 
    • $12.00 – Council Insurance
    • $12.00 – Scout Life magazine
    • ($25.00 – New Scout Fee one-time only, upon for youth joining Scouting for the first time)
  • Holt House Facility Fee
    • $40/scout
  • Troop Dues
    • $125.00 – Our annual dues cover Scout Awards and Advancements as well as operations and overhead for our camping equipment, trailers, and meeting facilities.
    • Troop fees will be prorated based on joining month and the surplus from the $125.00 payment will be added to the Scout account and can be used to cover costs of future outings.
    • Outing fees are not included in the troop dues and will vary based on the location, duration and scheduled activities.
  • Adult annual dues – $60.00 ($45 National Dues, $12 Insurance)
